Daniela Saioni : Host

Posted by on Sep 16, 2011 in The Comics | Comments Off

Daniela’s nickname in high school was Brainiac, but her IQ never stopped her from making incredibly unwise and impulsive decisions. Her distinct blend of smart and subversive writing in both her stand-up and film and television writing is directly inspired by the ridiculous twists and turns her life has taken.

While training as an improviser at Second City Toronto, she found her passion for stand-up in Dawn Whitwell’s class in 2008 and has since done sets across Canada, San Francisco, New York and L.A. She was featured on CBC radio’s Laugh Out Loud and was associate director on A Russell Peters Christmas Special, was an invited performer at Regina’s Pile O’ Funny Bones Comedy Festival in 2012 and has been featured in various film and television projects as a character actor since 2002.

She’s got a greeting card in print in the US that you can order HERE

She executive produces various live comedy events including this one, does punch-up and story editing and trains comedians in the art of original sitcom writing through her FROM SCHTICK TO SCRIPT program at Comedy Bar.

Her talents are varied but her mission is singular: change the world one laugh at a time.

Lesley Carlberg

Posted by on Mar 24, 2015 in The Comics | Comments Off

Lesley skidded into the performing arts as a dancer at the age of 3, then as a musician five years later. Besides improv & clowning, she sometimes gets paid as a teacher, actor or comedian. She has four musical productions under her belt, the most recent one being: “How I Lost One Pound, The Musical!” although writing it, Lesley gained ten. Short films she created include: “How I Lost One Pound, The Movie” Trailer and “Shit Dieters Say”. When she’s not performing around town or in different countries, Lesley spends her time looking for the TV remote or checking to see if friends “Like” her Facebook posts. This spring, watch out for her open mic room in Clarkson. A “whimsey, sweet yet dark & twisted nut job”. When she grows up, Lesley wants to record a song, make a video and be a “One Hit Wonder” because, like she tells her children, rock stars don’t really have to sing that great. la la la
